STATEMENT REF JUNIOR ACADEMY SHOW
PATCHETTS 17TH & 18TH FEBRUARY 2010
The organisers of the Junior Academy show held at Patchetts on the 17th and 18th February would like to apologise if we unknowingly offended anybody by changing the age rule on the horse classes.
It was done with best intentions for our members that have supported the academy since it started and have now turned 18.
There had been discussions of starting a Junior Academy Plus to support riders up to the age of 21, and this is why we changed the age from the original schedule to the amended schedule.
In hind sight we should have put a notice up informing everybody and not just relying on telling members that we have on our list who have just turned 18.
We would like to remind everybody that our organisers are voluntary and do not get paid for all their hard work and the last thing they want is to upset anybody.
We have decided to award Mollie Keen with 1st place in class 5. Georgina Philpot with 2nd place and Harry Horgan in the 3rd place.
This decision to change the awards was not instigated by the BSJA who received a complaint about the above but by ourselves.
